My mom has been studying about gallbladder disease, and it's starting to sound more & more like me.
Anyone else had problems w/your gallbladder?
here is a list of some foods I could think of that make me sick.
Dairy:
• Milk
• Ice Cream (Sickly full feeling with all these)
• Cheese
• Eggs
• Butter
Vegetables:
• Cabbage
• Canned stuff
Fruits:
• bananas (all the time. very bad reaction)
• sometimes coconut
• anything canned in corn syrup
• orange juice
Breads:
• white bread (sickly full feeling)
• Pancakes, donuts, muffins
Meat:
• All
• Especially beef
Candy/sweet/sugary things:
• Anything with a lot of sugar.
• Hot chocolate
• Any chocolate
Other:
• Peanut butter
• Fried or breaded food
• Any kind of sauces like: catsup, salad dressing, mayonnaise, mustered

I have since become a Veg. and don't do milk etc. but this was from growing up too.
I have a appointment for a ultra-sound tomorrow (hopefully)

Nah, ultrasound tests are painless. And, I have a gallstone in mine, unless there's more I'm not aware of b/c I haven't checked it in a while. I still have my gallbladder b/c I don't want it removed unless it starts causing major problems.
Though, I do know greasy foods will make it worse too. Also, too many acidic foods disrupt a lot of things besides gallbladder. Though, AL, I'm sure you'll do very good and I hope nothing is wrong too.

Your list of foods are al things I never eat as well (besides cabbage and organic homemade raw salad dressings) and I know I'd get sick eating those things as well (I have no gallbladder issues).
I really wish you would eat nutritious foods in healthy amounts
Everything would improve if you did that

Before I had my GB out, I'd have trouble if I ate fatty foods, high fiber foods--it was really wierd, practically any fresh fruit or vegetable would make me sick. It's been about 7 months now and I'm still afraid to eat things like broccoli unless it's cooked to within an inch of its life.
Ultrasounds are easy and painless. The only aggravating part is waiting on the results. My doc got back to me about 2 days later. I hope everything goes well for you!

I just had my GB out in November, and it was the best thing I ever did, I swear. I had no appreciation for how much pain I was really in - I'd been sick for a long time without knowing it and just thought it was normal for me. (If you get a really awful cramp on your right side just below your ribs every time you run and at random times during the day, have it checked - it may not just be a sidestitch!) When I'd eat fatty things I felt like I had the flu. I didn't have reactions to anything else I'm aware of - but you kind of have to hit me over the head with a brick to make me notice, anyway (high pain threshold, evidently). Get the thing checked: the ultrasound is painless, and if you get complications (pancreatitis, jaundice, liver probs, etc) it can be ugly. If your doc decides you need to have the thing out, don't sweat that either - the op is pretty well painless and usually laparoscopic. Hope you're ok!
