A hound mix named Trucker has survived having two long nails driven into his skull allegedly by his owner, KMBC reported.

The nails missed the dog's brain and major nerves.

Veterinarians were able to remove the nails, but Trucker will be deaf and blind in one eye.

Animal shelter workers said it is the worst case of animal abuse that they have seen.

Some peole are so evil. I can't even imagine what that poor, sweet dog had to endure. I hope that man gets jail time,also I hope he doesn't have other animals or kids. What a sicko!

Yeah, chances of finding him aren't good. If they do, probably a few months in jail and a fine.

Springfield..So close.......Thankfully the animal survived. I've known one eyed dogs, deaf ones, and even blind ones that could be happy. It's sad, angering, and steals hope that there's a possibility this plane will evolve. Not given up yet..but it's waining..
