Boy this thread has been slowing down lately. Where is everybody? Slynny? NDvegan? Are you guys out there?
I ran the LA marathon yesterday. Much cooler this year (last year we had 100+ degree temps) but I had muscle cramps for the first time ever. Eh. It was still fun.

Oh! I forgot to mention, Bethanie, I saw a girls on the run group working at one of the water stations en route and thought of you. :) I guess they must have those groups cross country, huh?

congrats on the marathon, captain! that's awesome :)
today was a beautiful day, but i decided not to run - instead i was on the elliptical for 45 minutes and the treadmill for 15. i also did a bunch of crunches and 30 push-ups. i'm hoping i will stop being lazy and soon start lifting (light) weights again to strengthen my arms. any suggestions on how to make this not seem like such a boring task?

Way to go on that marathon
Yesterday I ran 32 min. to the...*cough*...d00d's house...3 miles...and, because I was sans car, I had to get up and do it again this morning! :hamster:
Also did 2/3 legs (didn't have time for calves) and abs. I'd go on another run tonight, if the...*cough*...d00d wants to go :D
:nigel: Cheers!

10 minutes of running at 9 A.M....after NO trail-running on Saturday :grr:
...'twas VERY cold (of course it was 60-something Saturday, snowed in the night and was 30-something this morning  ) so I gave up...after 10 minutes...and I was having...girl issues anyway...
So after a hearty, leisurely breakfast and a movie, braved the weather again, ran at a strong pace for 1 hour, about 5 miles, and walked the remaining mile home.
I feel good, though I wish I could have taken advantage of Saturday's beautiful weather up on the trails...stupid boys and their stupid computers...arg! But at least I got my run in this weekend :)
:nigel: Cheers, hammies!

I've been sick for the last couple days. I haven't hamstered since Thursday! :-( its the first time I've missed my every-other-day routine. Somebody tell me I'm not a wuss and that I'm not slacking, that I'm doing the right thing by getting some rest ;-) I've felt REALLY guilty.
