It's actually Organic Style magazine.

What's the catch? (there's always a catch, IMO)

I actually received six free issues of that mag last year when I ordered something from the Natural Store at Drugstore.com. I decided after I read the issues that I didn't want to formally subscribe. Now and then I still get a subscription offer and other offers from them in the mail, so I'm still on their mailing list. I wonder if they will still send me that free 2 year sub if I rejected them the first time? I filled out and submitted the form, so we'll see.

I don't know that there is a catch. I've ordered free magazines like this several times before and never noticed an increase in spam. Just use a "disposable" e-mail address when signing up.

oops, I already used my regular one. Well, if I DO get spam from them, hopefully they will provide a link so I can "opt out".

No catch (except I agree about the spam..in snail mail too, I suspect). I've been getting OS free for a little over a year. It's not spectacular, but there are interesting tidbits every now and then. I give a quick read usually, then they get recycled to the workout room at the Y. There are many good mag. deals out there. Other ones on my free list: MacAddict, FamilyFun (for work), Vegetarian Times

I'm not sure if this is where Jen got it but I posted it here quite a while ago.

I got vegetarian times through the link that was posted last year and have not had any increase in spam or junk snail mail. I was expecting a catch too, but found none. Hope this one is the same!

I don't know if this (https://secure.palmcoastd.com/pcd/document?ikey=003C7IBIL) is what she was talking about but you get 2 issues free if you sign up and it says you can just write "cancel" on your bill before sending so you don't get charged for the next 10 issues.

Thanks for the tip, Michael. My cat Uma just signed up. :)
(I don't use my name for these kind of things!)

It was some time ago through freebizmags.com I'm not sure how I got signed up with them, but they send me registration emails every now and then.
