Today the brand-new flagship, premiere, #1 best Whole Foods in the world opened!
Whole Foods is based here in Austin, TX and they finally opened their new store and it is so AMAZING, it is right across the street from my gym and so I had to run over and sneak a peak - and besides the masses of people I saw:
*A self-serve roasted nuts and bulk dried fruit area
*The BIGGEST produce department I have ever seen. (has anyone ever seen maroon carrots? -they really are maroon!)
*An entire wall of Soy milks and yogurts (who knew there was Chocolate O'Soy yogurt?)
*A Raw/Living foods counter with all kinds of amazing looking stuff ( a raw meatloaf and pate made from nuts?!!?)
*4 freezer door sections labeled 'Meat Alternatives' - I have never seen so much Quorn in all my life.
*A bakery, pizzaria, juice bar, coffee shop, 'international hot foods bar', salad bar, udon noodle bar, another salad bar and beauty and cosmetics area that rivels any department store.
*900 parking spaces in an underground parking structure with moving sidewalks so you can take your shopping cart with you.
*The meat departments are disgusting and annoying but I think you can make your way through the store without much contact with them. (I wish they were veggie only)
As I walked through chatting to myself in delight I had all of you in mind and wished you could all see it! :smitten:
So if you are anywhere near Austin you gotta check this place out!
