Oh man, Rev, I hadn't thought of that. I just always saw him as one of those people who had a surfeit of life, even though he was certainly angry and cynical, but rightfully so in most cases. Anyway, it's very upsetting. I know we lose great humans all the time, but for some reason this one hit me.

My brother was sad about this, not only is he a fan, he's named after him.

I was extremely upset and moved when I heard this on the radio. He was an interesting and amazing man.
So so terrible he ended up killing himself.

Hunter was also good friends with Warren Zevon...and wrote the song 'Whole Different Person When You're Scared' with him. So, makes you think and miss Warren all over again as well.
I feel sorry for Hunter's son. That's the saddest part because he will never forget that...

whoa  i knew your brother's name, but never made the connection. i like your brother more now and i still haven't even met him! :p
but yeah. i heard some folks at my dorm shouting about this but i was half asleep so i thought i was imagining things. then the next day one of them hung a sign on the door that said "all hail the king is dead!" and it had a picture of him and some quote or other and then "long live the king!" it was pretty nice, i thought.

Mayu - Yeah, it's Hunter Thompson (my last name) :D One of his friends introduces him and says "He's named after Hunter S. Thompson!" But yeah, my parents like HST and named my big brother after him. :p
