Hmmm. It's been a bit slow here lately hasn't it?

I ran a half marathon today and I don't know how, but I beat my previous 1/2 time by 10 minutes for a new PR! Woot! :hamster:

Hope to see more posting in here.

Saturday: 1:30 on the bike on the trainer
Sunday: 1:15 of the same.

I signed up for my first race--March 26. It's 30 miles. I am going to start going on group rides to get ready for this. I was supposed to go on one this past Sat but it was below freezing and I wasn't up for facing that.

Sunday: approx. 2.5-hour hike back down to go home...

I slipped on the ice on my way up and my thigh is still pretty bruised/sore so I just played video games yesterday and slept from 6 P.M. to 5 A.M.!!! and today I *might* do lower-body...I'll know when I get there if I can handle it :dizzy:

I haven't posted here for quite awhile! I'm trying to get back into a regular excercise routine, so I'm going to post more often. I've still been excercising every once and awhile, but no where near as much as I should be!

I had a good start to the week on Sunday, I went walking in the woods with my mom and my dog for 40 minutes, it was really nice because it was snowing, and the lake that the trail was by had a layer of ice over it, and the ice kept moving and making strange noises, and it was a very cool atmosphere with the snow and the ice noises, it was very "nature-y"! :D

Sunday afternoon I played street hockey with my friend, on rollerblades, with one hockey stick, a broom and an apple.

Today I walked around downtown with my friend for about an hour or so of steady walking, and tonight I lifted weights and did about 125 crunches.

4 hours of Yoga yesterday...I'll do another hour and a half today and tomorrow I'll be back at the gym, with 45 minutes on the bike, 30 on the treadmill and 20 on the weights (lat pull, rowing, chest press, shoulder press, adductors, abductors, triceps, biceps and that's enough for me!)

Yesterday....1 hour of lower body (quads, hamstrings, calves, inner thighs); was going to go running but I got a 6:20 P.M. voicemail to do so at 6:20 this morning! :grr:

Today I did 30 minutes on the ellip, 16 minutes on the tread, and ab-work. I ran a 9:30 mile, which is 30 seconds faster than the last time I...timed it... and so I'm happy :hamster: I'm going running again tonight outside at a park with my friend...probably a solid hour there :D

:nigel: Cheers for busy-bodies!

OOh Ooh! I just found this thread! Didn't really understand what a Hamster was but I think I get it now.

I'll post because I've done such an absurd amount of yoga over the last couple of days and it's made me feel so excellent...I did two hot classes on Saturday, then another hot class followed by a 3-hour power workshop on Sunday, and then a lovely hot class last night. This is clearly not my normal operating procedure but sometimes just casting yourself into it can be very rewarding. I felt like I didn't want to leave on Sunday afternoon! Yoga, :lovesign:

Ahhhh...I'm pooped this evening. Bike riding this morning and Girls on the Run in the afternoon. I'm skipping yoga and going straight to bed. I will not pass go, nor collect two hundred dollars.

I'm still sore from Sunday. I have a sore back. Not sore muscles like I usually get but something else.

Plus all the rain doesn't really make me want to go outside.

Short 3 mile run. It's taper time!

Girls on the run sounds like a good program beathanie! Have you ever heard of students run LA? (I know you've mentioned you used to live in CA) Is it similar to that?

Yesterday - 90 min. jazz dance class

After the warmup, we just went through the basics instead of an actual routine, but it was still a pretty good workout.

Just stretching and running errands today. And tomorrow I have a 2-hr. dance practice.

oh, Hamsters...pull me up by my armpits and kick me out the door...

I should have known that what goes up must come down. Yoga yesterday was agonizing. I'm hitting the mat again tonight with a personal promise to take it easy on myself, but Lordamercy...

Yesterday: 1.5 hr vinyasa class, and biking from home to work, from work to the studio, and from the studio home.

Tonight: 1.5 hr vinyasa, MAYBE 1.5 hr hot class to get my ya-yas out, then biking home in the grisly Vancouver dark.

I went to the Gym yesterday (They have new TVs installed! :D) and went on the Elliptical Machine for 30 minutes.
Nothing today because the weather is yucky and I'm exhausted from the week, but I have a three-day weekend to look forward to!

Aw. No lifting yesterday  I "had" to go out to lunch with co-workers b/c of someone's birthday or something...so instead of doing lower-work...I ate a portabella sandwich...with potato chips... :sealed:

But this morning I awoke at 6 A.M. and ran for 35 minutes. I would have gone longer but...well I didn't. I was just glad (and surprised) I actually was able to make myself get up at that time and go! :hamster:

:nigel: Cheers!

Can I be a new hamster???? :-) I've been watching you guys do this for a while now ;-)

For the last month, every other day without fail (YET!!!!), I have used my at home elliptical for 30 minutes, and on the off days, did a little floor exercise with about 100-125 situps and other leg exercises. I'm gonna post here to keep me honest, if you'll have me ;-)
