I just watched the trailer on Amazon for the upcoming theatrical version of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and I must say <sniff sniff>, that judging from the trailer alone it doesn't seem to at all reflect what I loved about the book (and the TV version that aired back in the 80's), namely, Douglas Adams' droll, intellectual British humor. It looked more like an action/sci-fi pic aimed at 14 year old males.

Of course I'm not the BEST judge of movie trailers: back in the 1970's I laughed my head off when I saw the trailer for the original Star Wars pic, and ended up standing in a line about 15,000 miles long in order to see it.

Bunny Hugger, I've been there with my dog, Audrey... When she came to us, she had a little scar on her belly and the vet told us she looked like she was spayed. But then she went into heat and ended up getting impregnated (at seven-ish months old) and... well, it was bad. I was kind of excited and looking forward to the puppies even though I know increasing the puppy population is bad and we'd have to give them away and everything... They ended up all stillborn, though. Audrey was just too young to handle pregnancy. But fortunately, Audrey was just fine afterwards. We had her spayed and we've never had that problem again.

(NOT for people who get grossed out because someone ate something off of the floor)
(it can take about 20 minutes to load)

It takes place somewhere in Asia on a fur farm, animals being skinned alive and I mean ALIVE, smashed against the ground their paws and feet are chopped off with an axe-like object and that's not even the worst part...

They were cutting the animals skin/fur off with a knife and they were pulling it off of the animals body as if it were a shirt, they then threw the bodies of the animals on a pile of other animal bodies, there's this animal who was in that pile of bodies and was STILL ALIVE it was the sickest thing I have ever seen in my life!!!

I was standing up watching it and when I saw him moving his chin and blinking those big black eyes, furless and looking worse then death, I started getting really light headed and dizzy, my stomach started to hurt I felt like I was gonna throw up, I started to black out I never felt this way before I felt like I was dying! It was so painful to watch I had to sit on the floor and hold my stomach as I saw the rest of the video, I know this sounds wierd but I felt like I was him, I felt the hot sun the drowsiness, the feeling of dying a gruesomely slow and painful death.

I've seen some pretty graphic videos before, I could watch the whole thing with no problem (but I did cry sometimes)... This video was so real, animal cruelty at its purity... When I tried to watch it the first time I was so sickened that I had to click away and go do something else.

I didn't think anything could get more intense then "7 minuets of reality" (a video showing footage of animals being traped in fur traps,analy electrocuted,rabbits having their necks snapped in half, beat for meat, animal testing,monkeys eyes sewed shut for vivesection, inflicting brain damage on a dog for animal testing, pig being blowtorched ALIVE..and other out of this world madness..)but I was wrong SO wrong.

I'm feeling so many emotions right now..
