I know I'm a day late, but we are having our V-day party at school today, so last night I made 26 Valentines out of old newspapers and brown paper bags. Basically made one large newspaper heart and a smaller brown heart. "Distressed' the brown paper heart and glued it on the larger heart and then used a red 'pastel' crayon to decorate it. They came out really neat...and I think will make a good statement (just what you want to do with your valentines  ) about reuse.

Good for you!
I know its a little early (ha ha) - You can use the fronts of last year's Christmas cards to make lovely gift tags for next Christmas. By either cutting them out or using them whole. I hate spending money on things that will probably get thrown out.

That's an awesome idea! And so much prettier than the usual valentines :) Thanks, Bethanie. I hope I remember to try that next year :)

Bethanie! There's a craft forum now! We have to put lots of stuff in it so Michael will want to keep it. :D
