Hi Hamsters! Sorry I haven’t been around much, I’ve been real busy at home and at work. I’m still Hamstering, even more in fact! I have officially started training for a spring marathon. My workout schedule during the week will pretty much be M-T-W-TH exercise class, M-W-F run, Sat off, Sun. long run. So far this week, Sun 6 mile run, Mon class + 3 mile run, today cardio karate that really kicked my butt, what a great class! Tomorrow class + 3 mile run.

Welcome to the Hamsters VegEnigma :hamster:

Shoska, Don't worry if you gain a few pounds after starting out, muscle weighs more than fat because it's denser. If you do gain a few pounds you'll still look and feel better.

Captain! Great run!! nice to see ya!

Rainbowmoon, nice to see you too! Great work!

Go Hamsters!!! :vebo: :hamster: :vebo:

90 minutes at the Y doing bike, arc trainer, walking, and weights. I may go for a walk/run combo this evening. I'm reading a book by Joe Henerson called Run Right Now and it's making me want to get out and run. I just wish it wasn't so cold. It might warm up enough today though.

Wow, slynny, that is a busy schedule!

Good job hamsters! :vebo:

Good class today…no run though…hangs head. I talked to the gal that teaches our cardio class and she promised to really work us hard tomorrow…Yay!

Catswym , great week! Way to go!

Shoska , a 20 min walk is great, hope you feel better soon.

Sky, Hey, wow, you’re really getting into some good workouts at the Y there…good for you! But how is it to cold to run and not to cold to bike? Or are you biking indoors?

Cyk, Great work!

Rainbowmoon,

Go Hamsters!!!

Thanks Slynny :)
I did 70 mins in the gym today. 10 mins on weights, and the rest on the rowing machine and bikes. Apparently I burnt 400 calories + a bit.
I'm quite chuffed. I felt a bit wibbly after though! I am so unfit!

I took a lil' break from hamstering since I was dancing almost every day last week.

But I'm starting again tonight - 1.5 hr. jazz dance planned!

And I'm also considering getting private lessons if I can afford it and have the time.

Hi Slynny! It's definitely colder on the bike than running. It's just our crazy weather. It can be near 60 one day and below freezing a couple days later. I usually only bike if it's above 50 and I don't mind running when it's in the 40's, but when it's below freezing I mostly just walk if anything.

Today I worked out at the YMCA for an hour.

Yesterday, I had my jazz dance class (1.5 hrs). The warm-up is insane, but I feel so great afterwards! Even tho I didn't pick up the dance routine (which followed the warm-up) as quickly as my other classmates, I felt and looked great! Plus, I asked my dance teacher for additional private lessons so I can perfect the basic movements, so hopefully, that works out.

Today, I just did a little ab work - rest day!!

I have another 2-hr. dance practice tomorrow morning and I'm thinking about taking a Hip-Hop dance class tomorrow afternoon.

Go Hamsters!
