hehehe, I get to be first.
Yesterday - Body Combat class. It's a bit like Tae Bo - martial arts-type moves to music. It's very, very tiring!
Today - I got up early and went on the exercise bike for 30 minutes before work.

Go hamsters! :hamster:

Last Thursday was a BEAUTIFUL day here in the D-town, Colorado...so I decided to go for a run around a park...after two FULL laps (finally!) I found out I had locked my keys in my car! :wall:

So, the run continued...to a friend's house...1.7 miles away...overall, an hour-long run and somewhere between 4-6 miles. :nana: 'Twas good.

:nigel: Cheers!

I finally did 45 minutes of intervals today. It's not as convenient to exercise here, so I'm slacking off and feeling really bad for it.

Yesterday, I had dance practice which lasted for about 1 1/2 hours, I guess.

We went thru two dances (one more aerobic - the one I'm leading :)) and the other was more ballet-like and slow.

I plan my workouts a month in advance. The martial arts portion of my workout takes about an hour each session, and consists of my own stlye which I derived from past karate, tae kwon do, and juijitsu training. Next week I work on stances, basic hand strikes, and basic blocks.

Guys, I've been told that I am going to put on weight before I lose any or slim down at all from going to the gym. Is this true?

Schoska- Probably not. I think it is doubtful you will put weight on before you lose, unless you are really hitting the weights HARD. However, you might stay about the same but change your body fat-muscle composition- therefore looking better, but having a hard time accepting it on account of not seeing the numbers to prove it. This happened to me in 10th grade when I ran cross country- I went from 156 lbs. to 150 lbs., but I lost a pants size and my body fat % went way down.

I feel like a loser for not working out much, but I am not managing my time well and I had to work 4 days last week, too. I am going to do better this week! I swear!

Thanks Rainbow!
Don't feel like a loser :) I've done nothing today because of uni stuff. We can't be perfect 100% of the time
