Ok I'm finally ready to buy some home gym stuff!!

I want to get something like an elliptical, but I need something that is extremely quiet (I live on the 3rd floor) and that is very easy on the knees (bad knees in my family, I don't want to aggrevate it.)

I was looking at
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=FIT&pid=00628400000&subcat=Ellipticals

But that seems like the knees aren't moving at all, what kind of workout do you get with that?

I really want something that folds up for easy storage, too, since i have an apartment and this would be going in my living room and moved when we have guests.

Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!

Wow I can't believe no one responded. Thats ok though, I went ahead and bought that machine. It has been perfect. It gives me the cardio work I wanted and my husband has lost 7 lbs using it already.

Heh..I just saw this post today...it is odd that it slipped through before.

Anyway....congratulations on your purchase. :) The eliptical machine gives a great workout, if you use the back/forth handles, your whole body is involved.

My personal favorite though, is the rowing machine.

My boyfriend is in love with the rowing machine. I prefer the eliptical, though... :vebo:

I have an elliptical too. :) It does hurt my knees a little if I use it for over 30 minutes at a time.. but I still love it.
