These were on sale the other day so I decided to try them out. I've always been curious about Tofurkey, but it always seemed really expensive and I generally don't eat processed foods. Anyway, I was curious, so... The slices were pretty gross. They were rubbery and didn't seem to taste like I remember turkey. Of course it's been about 15 years since I've eaten turkey. Anyway, if you're curious about tofurkey, but reluctant, don't bother. On the bright side, one of my cats likes them a lot.

I tried Tofurkey three years ago for Thanksgiving and didn't like it. I then found Quorn roast. That's been my choice for Thanksgiving ever since.

I like the smoked tofurky slices, but the others that I tried were disappointing. (BTW, my dog likes them too, and I figure that's as good a recommendation as one could ask for in a meat sub).

I thought they were *okay*. Not bad in a sandwich full of veggies. But those tofurkey italian links?! Woot! They rocked.

I liked them all except for the peppered slices. I saw the links but haven't tried them yet.

You've never tried the links?! Those links rock, man. Get yourself a couple of those, slice em up, throw em in some spaghetti sauce...woot woot..they are the bestest.

I actually LOVE the peppered slices...When I first tried them they were rubbery, but it doesn't feel like that anymore.

I wouldn't eat it in and of itself, but I think they're good on sandwiches.

I think all the fake deli slices taste better heated in a pan with a bit of EB.

I guess I'm a freak, because I eat them plain, right out of the package :p

I like them. The original (?) is a little bland. They're definitely better than the Lightlife ones I used to get at Kroger. Those were kind of....gray.

^^^I noticed that about the lightlife ones too! They tasted okay, but... the color was just weird.

I love Tofurkey oven roasted slices. I love them so much I haven't even tried the other flavors. Yeah, the color is a little off, but they taste good.

Cissy - I'm a freak too - I can totally eat them right out of the package!

I've never tried tofurkey actually. I've tried the regular fake turkey slices tho, if thats what you mean. Like the Yves turkey slices - . I LOVE those! I usually have to eat them in a sandwich or wrap tho, its still too weird for me to eat them right out the package. But I think thats just me. :P

And I agree the grayish Lightlife slices taste ok, but don't look appetizing at all. Its just weird.

I love the peppered ones, and the smoked slices too. The cranberry stuffing ones kinda scare me.

I didn't love them, but my 6yo went gaga over them. He's the only one that likes them, so I can justify the cost.

I liked the cranberry thing ok. I just wasn't sure what to put on it, since my usual mustard didn't seem to go.

Tofurky Sweet Italian Sausages are TDF. Seriously. If you can get them, *buy* them. We go through I don't know how many packages per week.

Haven't tried tofurkey, but I like the Quorn deli slices. I eat them outta the package as well, so it's not just you!

I didn't like the Tofurkey. I like the Tofurkey Jerky, though. This makes me happy because when I was an omni I LOVED beef jerky.
