I had my first glass of Regular Silk Light this afternoon. I have to say it was a wonderful taste to experience. It was much lighter than the traditional silk and lacked that somewhat chalky aftertaste. The texture is slightly thinner, but not to the point of being watery. All this with half the fat and calories, and all the nutrients of the regular and vanilla silk varieties. I have not yet tried the Vanilla Silk Light, but I'm guessing it would result in the same positive response from my tastebuds :lick:

Wow! I'll have to look for that. I always drink light or low fat soy milks or rice milk because I prefer a lighter consistency (I used to drink skim milk).

It was funny - the day I read this thread I went to the grocery store and there was the Silk Light - and I thought I will give it a try since Jinga liked it! And you were right on, I think it is great. Very much like I remember skim milk to taste like. And with less calories and fat I can use more on my cereal!

Haha. Texaspice, I'm glad my opinion was so influencial it made you want to try it!

Rincaro, what do you consider weird? I don't think it has anything stranger than the regular variety.

Don't know. Like regular italian dressing would be oil, vinegar, spices, and maybe a minimum of preservatives. Light italian would be all that plus high fructose corn syrup and a bunch of things I can't pronounce.
