Hello all, I became vegan about a year and a half ago without any notion of caring for health, but since then i've started feeling better (not to mention losing about 60 pounds just from eating right), and ive started to get into caring about my health and ive even started lifting weights. just today, i fianally set up my brothers old weight bench and started using it. over the summer i did a bit of biking and really enjoyed it. anyway, any suggestions of things i can do to work out/stay healthier and maybe complement my vegan lifestyle and diet. thanks!

Sounds like you're doing a dandy job right now :) Congratulations on the step!

Just remember that cross-training is more effective (like weights + some cardio), than just one form by itself. Also note that you have to mix it so that you don't get mentally bored (run outside one day, stationary bike the next, etc.) and it also helps prevent your body from getting "used" to the same activity. As long as you enjoy the work-outs you do, you'll continue to do them. And if you hit a plateau, don't get discouraged. Maybe give yourself a day off or two and switch things up.

Keep up the great work!

:nigel: Cheers!
