Just a few questions:

Why do y'all put down what you *plan* to eat? We all know that the best plans often don't get carried out, so how accurate is what you plan/post vs. what you actually eat?

I know I get so busy that what I plan rarely happens...so I just post after I have eaten (or the day after) so I am accurate.

Actually, my plans are almost always what I actually eat because I pre-pack my lunch the night before. And since I'm on a budget, there's no way I'm gonna nix the pre-planned lunch for something else that I would have to buy.

The only time my planned meals change is if my co-workers spontaneously want to go out for lunch and invite me along, or if I was too lazy to cook my dinner and got a taco or something instead. And in those cases, I go back and edit my meals. Oh yeah, and sometimes I may have a few organic chips as an extra snack, but that hasn't happened in a while.

But wow - ppl actually change what they plan?? :surprised If it always changed, I wouldn't post til afterwards either. What the pt.?

i'm on a diet so i'm not changing anything. i eat what i plan and if i don't like it, i eat it anyway

i also pack my lunch so if i don't eat it i go hungry

For dinner I really want a giant pretzel dipped in hummus even though I know it's not nutritious and I'll be hungry like 2 hours after eating it. Talk me out of it!

2?! I'm talking about the BIG pretzels, not some skinny minny pretzels like out of the bag. :p

Yes, if I do eat it, I will include fruits and veggies. Mmm...I love fruit. :boobies:

Don't know if this is the appropriate place for this but, for all you big tea or coffee drinkers, be wary. Here's some info. I found from a fellow veg*n -

Large amounts of tea or coffee consumed with a meal can wash out the iron you're getting (the polyphenols bind the iron).

Since the only iron sources we get are Heme (i.e. non-meat sources) then too much tea (green, or not) can be a bad thing. As you know, low iron can cause anemia among other things.

Sorry if this is OT. Just thought I'd share, just in case. :)

so far

7:30am- 1/2 a bagel w/ a veggie burger and BBQ
11:00am- carrot ginger walnut muffin
12:00pm- little bit of spaghetti, but i'm sick of pasta....I think I'm going to get Thai when my boss gets here!

Dinner! I get to go to the staircase, eat yummy food and see Ember Swift. Life is GOOD!

Sadly, I know this and continue to drink green tea/coffee with EVERY meal. It's bad, I know. I eat all this great food and negate it with my stupid tea. However, I have been *trying* to drink Celestial Seasonings Orange Spice with dinner because it has no actual tea in it. And it's caffeine free. Plus, it's mind-blowingly delicious to boot. :)

Well YAY for Orange Spice then! :)

I'm not sure how much tea you have to drink to literally negate all the iron you get, but I'd try to drink more water instead of all the tea from time to time also, just in case.
