Is this the song where she's dancing around in the adidas jumpsuits? I saw it on BET this morning, and it uses some cool samples and beats. I kinda like it. I heard the intro from the B-Boys' "Paul Revere" in it.
I hear a lot of people rave about her and how she's different from most mainstream hip-hop, and from what I've heard it seems to be true. I might have to check some more of her stuff out.

I disagree....some of the skinny rappers suck too. People are people. The great thing is the variety...you're gonna get sucky ones in every size,shape,and color (life lesson #1). Missy started out in the R & B group called Sista and remained until the record co. went belly up. She then dug in producing and arranging for Aaliyah, Jodeci, Whitney, Mariah, Ginuwine, and SWV to name a few. Missy both produced and wrote over 20 hit songs for these various artists in the 90's. She is the first hip hop artist to be asked to join the Lilth Fair Tour in 98. More recently, she brought together Pink, Aguilera, Lil' Kim, and Mya for Grammy winning 'Lady Marmalade'.

hmmm. i'd interpretted her lyrics to be a kind of parody. a statement on how things are for women in our society. i guess there are just different ways of looking at it.

just curious: if you heard a male hip-hop artist encouraging boys to use women for sex, or committing crimes to "get that cash", would you think it sufficient to subject them to some kind of musical war crimes trial? because i think the court system will be tied up for a long time if we go that route.
