One of our little former foster ferals, Sydney, died last week. Poor little girl.

Another one crosses the Rainbow Bridge...

Death is part of the rescue world, but it's still tough, especially when it's a kitten who seemed healthy. Sydney was just 5 months old.

Here's a baby picture of her brother, Everett. They were adopted together and he's healthy and doing well.

Sorry to hear that! :( What happened to your kitten? You said it was healthy. But maybe your kitten is in heaven now, :)

wow he's a very handsome kitten. they look so much alike.
it's always sad to see an animal go, especially babies. but rescue work is so great and rewarding, and you're doing a lot to help animals like that little guy. i'm sure it can be hard when you lose one, but then seeing how many of them make it and live happy lives must be amazing.

i hope i can do that kind of work someday soon. and i hope i'm strong enough to handle it

She seemed healthy but she wasn't - she had a congenital heart problem that wasn't apparent until she got sick. There was nothing the vet could do once her heart failed.
