Grade: C-

Yes, it has vegetables and the zucchini and the green peppers appear grilled in some fashion. However, they do not taste like it at all. The sandwich was overall watery and the ends of the bread were soggy from the excess water. The cheese, instead of being fresh and stringy, was chewy and tasteless. It appears the sandwiches are made in advance and then heated up in their foil wrap.

I was not offered the whole wheat option and I did not know there was one until I read the small print on a poster sign.

The Quiznos sub is superior in both taste and quality. I would eat the Veggie Melt if I was famished and there was no where else to go. Then again, I'd probably just order a supersize fries and let that sustain me until I got to a real food establishment.

Overall, the sandwich will probably improve McDonald's sales, as curious purchasers will buy it, be revolted by it, and then go back and order a Big Mac. For hungry vegetarians, stop by Harvey's and get their veggie burger or, if you want a sandwich, go to Quiznos.

All McDonalds food is preprepared I believe, except maybe the fries. McDonalds is nasty, stick to Subway or Quiznos for healthier and tastier sandwhiches!

Ooo ... Quiznos Veggies are good. I have my slathered with gaucomole  ... I've never asked what they put it the gauc, though. That sandwich is the 'safest' thing I can get within walking distance from work.

I though their gauc was vegan? I'll double check the next time I'm there.
