peppar sprays

due to my schedule i run at night time. well my husband keeps getting peeved and asking me not to and whatnot. he said if i had some sort of self defense he'd stop nagging so much. the things he gets are just too big and impractical to take on a jog. i was thinking of one of those little peppar spray things but im not sure where i can buy one. does anyone know?

I bought one from Menards when I was going to college at night. Otherwise, I've seen them in sporting goods stores, like Dunhams and Scheels.

I bought mine at KMart. It goes on my keychain. I believe it was around the camping stuff.

Sporting goods stores or bicycle shops. The latter sell "HALT," which is marketed as being something you would spray a dog with. Some stores also sell much larger cans, which are supposedly useful against bears.

I once sprayed one of these things by accident. Even though I sprayed it away from me, my eyes teared, my nose ran, I was coughing and retching. So if you ever do spray it, hold your breath and run away from the spray area as fast as you can and as far as you can before taking a breath.

Make sure that they are legal to have/carry where you are. I had one in college when I worked in not so safe neighborhood. I found out after like a year, that the spray was illegal in the city where I lived.
