I'm trying to think of a gift for my mom. She is a fitness instructor at a gym and is very health conscious.
Does anyone have any suggestions of fitness-related or health-related gifts (that are not linked to any fads)?

hmm. well, organic fruit/veggie gift boxes are a great idea. YOu could order her for one a month or something. it would be a pricey gift though.
is there anything in her fitness routine that uses some sort of prop? for instance, we're getting my mom tiny weights (magnetic) for her to use for her weight training. My sister is getting a pilates mat. my mother in law is getting a yoga video. my husband is getting some new work out gear from my parents (he needs it too!). So, there are lots of things, but i don't know what she does.
also, she may need the new music for one of the routines. perhaps a gift certificate through her certification organization would be good. I mean, bodypump comes out with a new music and routine every month or two, and instructors have to buy it to do it. It can cost $50 or $75 per program--which gets pricey. A gift certificate may help her cut costs on that end or for a continuing ed program that she's interested in.
good luck!

How's about some organic cotton yoga pants? You can find some nice ones at www.rawganique.com

Great ideas Zoebird and Charity! I wish that I knew the name of her certification organisation (and that I had more time).

you could just call and ask--hey mom, who is your certification through?
then, you go online, look up the org, and they often have gift certificates that you can order online. Then, print it out and put it in a card.
