Hmmm….I’ve been kind of busy and haven’t done much running this week. I didn’t go for a long run today either. I’ve decided not to worry to much about keeping up with my running schedule until after the holidays…if I have time I’ll get the runs in, if not, it’s only a couple of weeks, I’m not going to stress about it.
catswym, wow! Good for you being able to motivate yourself that late…5:30 yikes, I get up between 5 & 5:30 but it’s to go exercise…if it weren’t for classes I wouldn’t get up til about 7 to get the kiddos off to school.
Great workouts.
MezzoEmi, Great workouts! What are cheetah presses?
christy, Way to go!
808, Wow…working out after a migraine, now that’s determination. Stop eating crap :)
Sounds like you got a good workout in though.
O' and thanks!
gkleinman, great run!
Elena, Great Hamstering! I miss running out in the sun too, but it doesn’t seem to matter if the sun is out or not….it’s still cold.
formicalinoleum, glad your back!!
ND, Good for you…hehehehe…I don’t think I ran at all the week after.
Flower, WOW…that ain’t no Mt. Dundee :D Good for you!
roqeja, Excellent!
Horsegal, welcome to the Hamsters! :hamster:
annabanana, You biking outside? Brrrrr! Sorry about your sinus infection! I hate getting those. Hope you get well soon.
Go Hamsters!!! :vebo:

anyway, good job and thumbs up to everyone :)
i will hopefully be around this week but i'm off to south america for a while in a couple weeks and then i'm going out west and then to s carolina...so, yeah.

Yay for 2 years of hamstering!! :vebo: 808, I second your  to slynny for keeping this going. She's an awesome hamster!
Today for me-
1/2 hour treadmill running intervals
stretching
Funk- have fun on all your travels! I'm so jealous, I love traveling! Where out west will you be going?
Slynny- in the spring I'm actually going to do a bit of training for Long's Peak on the dundee hill. It's nowhere near what the peak is (8 miles of quite strenuous uphill hiking!!), but it can't hurt. :)
CaptainSwab- it is a beautiful place. We would love to move there when we retire. I'd be in heaven!
NDVegan & Elena- great start to the week!!

slynny - Cheetah presses are where you lay back at a very slight incline either on an incline bench or on a balance ball holding a dumbell in each hand. You start with them positioned at your sides by your knee, fists out, and then raise up above your body until weights meet a few feet above your groin/abdomen area :) I'm horrible at describing exercises! :P
Sunday:
Jogged/walked three miles.
Monday:
Upper body: Military press, dumbell incline, cheetah press, bicep curls, dumbell backflies.
Lower body: Lunges, ball leg curls, ball hip raises.
Abs: Pilates rollups, ball crunches, oblique twists on each side.

How often do you guys weigh yourselves? I had the chance today, but avoided it....I didn't want to become disappointed even though I know I've been working out and all....

I weigh myself once a week. I was a little obsessed with it a while ago, I'd get on the scale once a day, sometimes twice. Now I only allow myself to use the scale once a week, Sundays, and I don't keep it in the bathroom.

Nothing for me today. Until the holidays are over, I'm only requiring myself to do 3 workouts a week. Better than nothing, right? After the holidays, though, I'll be whooping my own butt. :whip: Gotta get ready for those mountains!
Funk- you lucky gal, you. I would love to be going to SA & out west right now. *sigh* I hope you have a ton of fun and make sure to post pics!!
808- I used to weigh myself once a week, but now it's more like once a month. I actually got rid of my scale earlier this year, but ended up buying another one.
Keep up the great work, everyone! :hamster:

i try not to weigh myself. the past couple of years i noticed myself becoming in creasingly concerned with weight and calories and not gaining weight even while gaining muscle mass to the point of obsession and unhealthy things happening to my body. i would rather the scale not be there at all but it's my roommates. now i don't weight myself at all (or try not to).

1 mile jog yesterday... will probably do the same this evening, too.
((Gads - most of you run like MAD! I'd *DIE* if I ran nine miles! LOL :D I admire you all for it though!))

Today was 45 minutes on the treadmill (i did a 15 minute first mile! woo!), and then like 20 minutes or so of different weight machines.
I STILL can't do any overhead lifting though. (I injured my rotator cuff at the end of the summer) on Sunday I did 5 each at 10 lbs on overhead liftie resistance machines and my left shoulder was KILLING me all day Monday. My best friend from HS should be home over Christmas, and she's a physical therapist, so I'm going to see if she can help me learn some exercises to do, cause I'm afraid I'm gonna end up tearing it or something. (I don't do anything overhead normally anymore)

Yuppers... just got done with one mile on the treadmill (watched some of Bend it Like Beckham while I ran - a good distraction, because running on the treadmill is uber-boring to me. LOL)... and I feel great... could go another, but I'm lazy. :p Perhaps tomorrow morning before school I'll put another mile in.
Oh - also did some crunches and such... not much, but eh... that's alright. better than nothing!
