Three Nova Scotia men have been arrested in the poaching deaths of an endangered mainland moose cow and her two calves.
The animals were found shot near Parrsboro.
The Joggins-area men could become the first people charged with killing a mainland moose under Nova Scotia's Endangered Species Act.
The maximum penalty is 500-thousand dollars and six months in jail for each animal. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald)
If one wants to be a moral relativist about it, one could say these $%&*s just didn't understand that what they were doing was wrong, because it wasn't wrong by *their* standards.
But I think they are sick, twisted #@%$s. Imagine: shooting a MOTHER & HER 2 BABIES, ENDANGERED SPECIES at that. :cry:
