Has anyone read this book and what did you think of it?My sister recently mentioned to me that on a recent trip she passed a field of cows and asked her husband how they are killed. After he told her she couldn't eat beef for a few days. She also said that she could be a vegetarian if she liked more vegetables.I'm thinking of buying her this book and perhaps it will help her decide to become vegetarian.
Also, does anyone know any good veg cookbooks that people who don't like a lot of veggies would enjoy? Thanks! Karen

It's a great book. All of Jeffrey Masson's books are wonderful. Definitely get it for her if you think she'd be open to it.

It's a really good book, I read it in like 5 days because I couldn't put it down.
Can't reccomend a cook book though.

I have this book, and bawled my eyes out through it.

As for vegetables, when I became veg I liked only iceberg lettuce, potatoes, carrots, and tiny little seedless tangerines. (I had also tried apples and bananas but didn't eat them regularly.) The trick was to actually TRY more, one at a time, and figure out how to make as many things as possible with them. I have added tomatoes, spinach, onions, green onions, leeks, alfalfa sprouts, fruit juices, apples, bananas, cantelope, etc. into my daily diet since. I still have a ways to go, but I had/have will so I am finding a way!
