So on Sunday I ran the Tucson half marathon for the second year in a row. I felt really good until maybe the last mile and thought I was doing much better than last year. I even passed a man I remember being close ahead of me last year. Then I checked my time and I was 2 minutes slower than last year! I did it in 2:01 last year, but apparently my time was 2:03 this year. I suppose I should be happy that I felt so good during the race and finished and all, but I'm just a little disappointed...

At least you can run half marathons. Think of poor sods like me who can only run a bath.

I know how you feel eggplant. I ran a marathon for the first time in May this year. So, when I ran the 5K in June I thought it would be a breeze and that I would do so much better than last year...I finished a minute behind last years time and I was dying half way through the race. I've been running for years and I still don't know why some days are just like that. Don't feel bad...you did great!:)

Sometimes it's just the day! Today I ran my usual course and was dreading it because I was tired and it was cold and rainy. I set a PR!

You're awesome, eggplant. :wayne: I'm with Kiz and rainbowmoon, I can't even run a half-mile, so half a marathon is nothing to sneeze at, no matter what your time is (and yours is amazing!).
