I usually use cranberry juice and drink as much as I can handle to get rid of it. I want to avoid going on antibiotics so I was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to what I could use.

Cranberry juice is all about I know, and that only works for mild ones.
Personally, I'd rather get antibotics instead of risking infection spreading. And the itch/sting/burn alone is enough to spend me screaming to a doctor!

Bladder infections can lead to kidney infections which can lead to permanent kidney damage and imparement. I believe its fine to use cranberry juice (not the sugar kind, like straight up cranberry juice is best) to PREVENT infections, but once you've got one, you really need the AB's.

I LOVE cranberry pills! I found them at CVS and take a few after sex to prevent UTIs...they really work. I hated drinking juice until I thought I would explode (I never thought it worked either)...so go out and get these pills! they are a miracle!

But she already had one, right?
I'm with RC - go to a doctor. Seriously.

I sell herbal remedies for a living.
And I think you should suck it up and see a doctor.

I used to get bladder infections all the time. Had to go to ER all the time they were so bad. They were giving me huger & huger antibiotics & I said "enough of this sh*t".
Homeopathy cured me once & for all. I haven't had a bladder infection now in almost 10 years after a *single* dose of the right remedy, which for me was Belladonna. Many women find luck w/ Catharsis as well, but it's not veg*n.
Antibiotics are *not* a cure for bladder infections, they are a bandaid. And they can lead to treatment-resistant strains in future.
