anyone have a recommendation for vegan hand moisturizer? i need something intense! my hands are rough and itchy due to cold weather and excessive hand washing. currently, i'm using kiss my face, but it isn't working well. i'd also be open to making my own.

thanks!

My Bf used to use a hemp lotion.I don't remember the name but it came in one of those aluminum tubes and was bright green.Don't know how this helps Can't even remember where he bought it.I will ask when he comes home.

Jason makes a line of hand creams that work really well.

Another vote for hemp oil. I have some hemp oil lotion from the Body Shop, I think? Or one of those places...

Anyway, you can add some hemp oil to whatever lotion you're already using to uh, kick it up a notch.

I think that's it!!! The Body Shop. Does yours come in a giant toothpaste tube?

Arbonne's hand cream is amazing. Pair it with the Skin Conditioning oil and you have the best thing ever to combat dry hands!

I use J/A/S/O/N Glycerine & Rosewater lotion. It makes every part of my body silky-smooth!

Kiss My Face makes some good schtuff too. Not all of it's completely vegan though--some stuff has honey.

I love my Glysomed. It's not animal tested but I'm not sure if it's completly vegan...

jason's vanilla of the valley is really thick and is great even if you wash your hands a lot like i do. it smells great and is usually 10-12$CDN for a large upright container

I'm suprised no one has mentioned DR Haushka or Aubrey Organics. Not all the products are vegan, but I believe the hand creams are. I just finished a bottle of Aubrey's Sea Buckthorn hand & body lotion that I have been using for almost a *year*. Very economical.

I like J/A/S/O/N vitamin E. It's virtually scent free which I like, and it feels kinda silky. And it's affordable :) It's the same price as the Neutrogena I used years ago.

Body Shop Hemp lotion - I just bought some of this today. I have terribly dry hands and was recommended by a friend of mine. It has a lovely, light, almost sandalwood fragrance to it as well. A little on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way.

I agree it is very good. I have used this as an all over moisturizer, but I need something more intensive for my hands.

a company called 'tates' makes a product called 'tates miracle conditioner'.... its not greasy at all, and it REALLY moisturises well. most health food stores carry it, and im sure they will send you a sample if you call them directly.

I like the Nature's Gate line. I wash my hands maybe 40-50 times/day, so dry skin is a *big* problem. The "herbal moisturizing lotion" is what I use, and it keeps my hands nice and soft. Works great too, if you use moisturizing gloves at night.
