Hi Hi,
I've been looking around at various online stores provided by the nice people here on this board. I'm having trouble deciding where to buy from... I was going to go with Zuzu Luxe products from veganunlimited.com but then I noticed Zuzu Luxe isn't listed as Vegan/Cruelty-Free on PETA's caringconsumer page (http://www.caringconsumer.com/page/CompaniesDont.pdf). So now i'm not sure...are thier makeup products animal ingredient free? Is there any way I can be sure? Or is there a more trusted brand I should go with? Sorry, I'm really new to all this. ^-^;;
Thank You!~~

Everything from Vegan Unlimited is vegan. Zuzu Luxe cosmetics are vegan, no doubt.

I love Zuzu Luxe products. I guess it depends on what type of makeup you're looking for! If you just want light coverage, the powder will be fine.

I've been using Arbonne stuff (gotta plug my stuff) for awhile now, and I really like it. All vegan and no animal testing. If you wanna look at stuff, it's in my sig line.

So it really *is* all vegan? No fish scales, bee products, crushed pearls or bugs?

There are only two things that I know of that aren't - and trust me I looked into it heavily before I signed up.

1. The makeup brushes that they sell are *not* synthetic for the most part. Therefore I don't use them.

2. The calcium comes from oyster shells in their calcium supp. Now they say the shells are from already harvested oysters, but some people take issue with that regardless.

Everything else is vegan. Colors, ingredients, all of it. They get a PETA seal of approval, and also some others. No animal testing of any sort. If there are any products you are interested in, I can provide you with a pdf of every ingredient, the ingredient's purpose, and what source the ingredient comes from. They call the products a synergy of science and botanical.

/end commercial :D

Please consider screening for chemicals *and* animal products when chosing cosmetics.

In addition to chemicals that are harmful (see link above) Mary Kay and Avon have products containing nasty animal products (like bovine spinal cord) carmine, fish scales and more yucky stuff...

I found some decent synthetic brushes at the art supply store. There are ones you can buy on line (EccoBella is the brand that comes to mind) but hello! they are pricey!
