I was over on my wedding board ,to plan my wedding.Sometimes I chat.Well someone asks what type of bait to use in a mice trap?,because she found some 'itty bitty' feild mice in her house.
TONS of people responded with cruel ideas... poison, spring traps, glue sheets ect..NOT ONE person, stated that you can buy humane traps(expect for me of course!!)
I told them all off ,as well.I am utterly disgusted.Even when I was a meat eater..we had humane traps for mice.

Poor little mice! I hope she takes your advice and opts for a humane trap. I hate it when people have a choice between non-animal friendly and animal friendly and they purposely choose the ones that isn't! :(

I don't know. I've got mice and I do use live traps and they do work. I take them outside and dump them (usually just outside of one of my enemies' houses). But what's the real effect of this?
They are likely to just run inside someone else's house and get trapped or poisoned or they might remain outside and die from the cold or a predator. I guess I'd rather give them another cahnce to fend for themselves than kill them myself, but I dunno. There is no good solution. Even asa vegan, I'm unwilling to live side by side with the mice in my home.

yes, bumble, people do indeed suck.
i had a roomate once that insisted upon using those spring trap things no matter how much i objected. he would set them every night before he went to bed and i would promptly un-set them every night before i went to bed.

We need to get you a telling off /finger wagging smiley and if you'll help petition in the smiley thread, I'm sure we can have ourselves a case to put in a request for one. Failing that try a fork up their backsides!
I would love to have been there to see the looks on there faces when you set them all back a pace  Good on ya!

Oh..by the way..it is my Fiance who doeas the humae traps at my request.I personally dont mind living with Racoons in my shed, squirrls in my attict and mouse in my house.
Its the spiders I could without.
But,wildlife in my home, does not bother me at all.
Once the squirrls in my attict, had a party, late a night..that pissed me off,but otheriwse I have no problem with animal roommates..

Like that new D-Con mousetrap. It's a covered trap (the old kind that snaps the necks) so you don't have to see the mouse
That's it...lets just further remove humans from the cr@p that they do
