8 mile run today.

It was supposed to be 14 but I woke up to pouring rain and heavy winds. It was actually SNOWING in the town just 5 miles away from where we run. SNOWING. In all the years that we've lived out here (and I grew up here) in the desert regions of CA we have never seen it snow at this low of an elevation.

And I was wearing shots. I actually don't even OWN running tights or pants suitable for running.

Nice run Slynny! Your times are improving a lot! Way to go!

Yay slynny and captain!

Today was 6 miles, with 35 min of intervals at a 4:3 hard to easy ratio.

13 days until the marathon! Eeeek!

Geez captain, it's crazy that you got snow! I'm Northern Indiana and we haven't even seen flurries yet.

You aren't going to let us whimpy Californian's beat you guys in the weather department, are you?
I'm sure it'll be back in the 70's next week.

Make sure you get plenty of rest before the marathon! Don't put in too many miles during the taper. :)

We're supposed to get snow showers on Weds, :furious: and it will stay that way for 4 months...

As for my taper, I'm thinking 30 miles this week and 14 in the week before the marathon. My only goal is to finish, which I'm fairly confident that I will be able to do. Heh, I'm running a 10K race on Saturday (a week before) just because it is so rare that I get to race that I can't say no!

About 3 miles walking today, I was uber-busy...only home for 2 waking hours today, so I walked to places to get some hamstering in. 6 mile run planned for tomorrow, though :hamster:

I get a hamster brownie point for the day (which is unusual). Did my 45 minute Firm Basics Abs, Buns, & Thighs. Now I'm sweaty and tired.

Exercise class for me yesterday and today, I will also fit in a short run sometime today.

Captian, Brrr snow! Hehehe…no snow here in chilly Ol’ Wisconsin either, it’s been down in the 30’s and 40’s and we’ve had a lot of frost but no snow yet, O’ but it’s coming, yes…it’s coming. Great run Captain.

ND, I’m really excited for you! Your going to do great! I wish I would be ready for a marathon in two weeks because it doesn’t look like I’ll be doing the one in CA in Jan. I was on the marathon calendar looking for something close by that I could do instead and yours is the only one going on before winter that is like within a reasonable distance…but I won’t be ready

Yay Shadowlee! Good to see you've got more time to Hamster :hamster:

Funk, great Hamstering!!! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Anna, that’s great that you found a way to work some walk time into your busy schedule! Way to find Hamster time.

Rincaro, :hi: hey nice to see you! So you work for brownie points ay? We’ve got more of those you know. Lot’s more. Great workout.

Great workout catswym!!

Go Hamsters!!!! :vebo: :vebo:

I went to yoga class today for an hour, which was really good. I was feeling a little upset before (bad day at work), but going to yoga made me feel a lot better.

14 mile bike ride today. It felt really good but next time I have to remember that when it's under 40 degrees, I need to wear more than just shorts on my legs

Yay Hamsters!!! :hamster:

14.5 mile bike ride yesterday.

Yay 808! Keep it up!

Anna, I have a cold from running in shorts in 30 degree temps, rain, and wind so watch out! Make sure you dress warm enough!

Slynny, its too bad you might not be ready by then. The way the weather has been looking it'll proabably rain straight through jan anyways. :D

I'm going to attempt a run later today but I haven't been feeling great so we'll see how that turns out.

Wooohooo! 11 more days for me, 10 for you NDvegan!

Sunday: 7 mile hike up in the woods
Monday: 4 mile run
Tuesday: about 10 minutes of climbing, but I came down so I could go surfing
today i'm just gonna work on abs on brakes from trying to tackle my mountain of homework. track season starts in 2 months and my stomach muscles aren't nearly as strong as they should be for pole vaulting.

Brrr, it's snowy outside, except it's more like rain. Lots of puddles and blowing water...so I'm about to get the running tights, scarf, hat, gloves, and jacket on and suck up the chicago weather once again :elf: It'll be a 4 - 4.5 mile run today :)
