I've tried 2 new products by Gardenburger-Barbeque Riblets and Chicken grill. Neither are meat and I loved them both! Anyone tried them?

I really like the riblets...I don't care for the chicken grill. I make the riblets into a sandwich when I'm in a rush and hungry.
I like the riblets a lot. Especially with pickles and onions on a sandwich. I know, I know. It sounds like the McRib sandwich. But really what I liked about McRib was the sauce, the pickles and the onions and not the meat. So, riblets are awesome.
I wanted to try the riblets, but I don't think there vegan. I use to get Now & Zen ribs, but our health store doesn't carry them anymore.

I checked the ingredients and they are vegan, Apple. I agree the riblets are out of this world!
The chicken grill went out the window when I tried Quorn, but the riblets I still have from time to time.
I like the hot wings (not vegan). Havn't tried the riblets, yet.

The Morningstar Farms buffalo wings are my favorite! I'd like to try this riblet sandwich. I'll have to keep my eyes open. I always liked bbq and it's tough finding vegetarian bbq stuff.

I tried the Gardenburger chicken. It's okay.
I love the Morningstar food, especially the veggie breakfast links

These Gardenburger products are 100% vegan. They contain no dairy, no cheese and no other animal products or byproducts. Not in the natural flavorings. Not in the spices. Nowhere.
Flame Grilled Hamburger Style ->
The burger that fools hard-core meat eaters time and time again. It's meant to taste like the kind of real meat burger you'd flip in your own backyard.
Savory Herb Chik'n Grill ->
We are proud of our soy-based Flame Grilled Chik'n Grill because it tastes like chicken which in this case is a real compliment.
Meatless Riblets ->
Our Meatless Riblets taste like smoked, BBQ'd ribs. They have been flame grilled with the kind of tangy sauce you'll want to lick off your fingers. Juicy and tender, they would fall off the bone, if indeed, there were any.
Meatless Breakfast Sausage ->
We make our meatless breakfast sausage with all-natural soy and generously season it with herbs and spices for a taste that reminds you of the homemade sausage you might find in a little family diner on one of those two-lane roads the highway bypassed years ago.
GardenVegan® ->
Delight your palate with a delicious blend of fresh mushrooms, onions, whole grains and spices bursts with flavor.

I don't eat many meat analogs because unfortunately I can't afford much in the way of veg*n convenience foods. *sigh* Does anyone want to contribute to the Skylark College Cuisine Fund?

Abigail -
I thought the only Gardenburger product that was VEGAN was the Flame Grilled Hamburger Style, which is why I only buy that one (which is awesome, by the way!). Are you sure the rest are vegan? I think the only product that actually says vegan on the package is the Flame Grilled Burger.

HappyDaisy, if you check Gardenburger's site (www.gardenburger.com) and go to the product list, you'll see a link that says, "Which products are vegan?" When you click it, it brings up the list of products that Abigail posted above.
I tried the Riblets last night, and I was stunned--they were delicious! I devoured my Riblet sandwich with gusto. I definitely recommend them!

Yummy, simply Yummy!! Sometimes I bring the riblet to work with me along with the bread. It makes a quick and delicious lunch. And everyone in my office is drooling over the smell (we have a mini-kitchen here).

Where do you get these riblets? At a regular grocery store? We don't seem to have them around here. :cry:

Yeah, you likely won't find them at a natural food store, since, like Morningstar Farms, the ingredients aren't too natural. :)
My friend gets them at Jewel, and swears they're the best. What grocery stores you got downstate? I hear Kroger is down there - they rock!

Kroger, Jewel, and Schnuck's are the most prominent. I'll check Kroger and Jewel. Kroger has a really nice health foods section but their prices are so high I rarely go. In general I try to avoid stores that screw you unless you have their card.
I boycotted Jewel for a while because of the 10 cent sale scam they'd run on the back of their fliers. For instance they'd have a dozen cookies that said 10 cents real big next to them but then in the fine print it would say "each when purchased in quantities of 12".

lol - sounds like Jewel alright. They're the ones who have the riblets though up here in the burbs. :)
I haven't shopped at Kroger in ages - but you're absolutely right about those damn cards. They claim the cards save you money, and technically you're paying less than those without cards, but the price you're paying is the same price you were paying before they introduced cards in the first place! But I grew up with Kroger, so I have a soft spot for it.... :P

Yeah, they really shaft you if you don't have that card. Before I moved I lived a couple of blocks from Wal Mart and did my grocery shopping there. At the time I could get a half-gallon of Minute Maid lemonade for $1.19. Kroger's regular price was $2.19 and $1.59 if you had the card. Even with the card you pay considerably more than you would at Wal Mart.
One time I went to get a pizza and I could not get one for under $6. One time I went to get a half gallon of ice cream and could not get one for under $4. Their Morningstar Farms products are $3.99 compared to $2.89 at Wal Mart. It's just ridiculous.

That's outrageous. I heard of a case where a guy slipped and broke his arm at a Jewel up here. He filed a lawsuit, and they threatened to use his history of purchasing liquor at the store against him (they, of course, have all his purchases databased thanks to his little card).
I'm so glad I'm able to do all my shopping at Whole Foods and the other area natural food stores - none of this crap to put up with (but, of course, you can't get the really good tasting meat imitations like Morningstar Farms :)).

Michael...watchout for the minute you eat the Riblets you'll be addicted (and you thought the wings were addicting) :)

I get the Gardenburger Riblets at a health food store that has more than the average health food store. It has tons of Gardenburger products and I noticed they now have meatless meatballs. I didn't look at the package to see the ingredients but I will next time.

I love Gardenburger products. They make such wonderful "meat"! Of course, the Riblets are delightful, but I recently tried the "Flame-Grilled Hamburger style" patties. Delicious!! :)
Birdlady, I buy the Meatless Meatballs, too. I really like them. They're great to mix into marinara sauce. However, they contain dairy ingrediants.
Gardenburger is the best. Has anyone tried their Chick'n Grill yet? Is it any good? I think that's the one I'll try next.
