My mom has Lupus, and can't use her Slim in Six DVD she bought. It hurts her joints too much. She gave it to me, and I wondered if anyone has ever tried it? The infomercials seem too good to be true, but what harm can come from working out?

I've tried it. The stretching exercises are nice and the exercise routines are split into three segments - Start It Up (1 week), Ramp It Up (2 weeks), and Burn It Up (3 weeks).
It's quite a jump between programs. If you're not used to it you'll probably need to do each one for longer than they recommend. SIU is like 24 minutes, RIU is like 45 minutes and BIU is like 55 minutes. Not only is each one longer, they get progressively harder. I'd probably reverse it and do SIU 3 weeks, RIU 2 weeks, and BIU 1 week. Be sure you do the stretching exercises before you start.
I'm going to go start again around 12/1. If you need an exercise buddy let me know. :)

They should say slim in six years! It seems like a good one if you take it slow like you suggested. I can always use workout buddies. What I really need is someone with a stun gun to make me work out! :whip:

avoid it. I work for Showcase which is a retail store that sells "As Seen on TV" products. What Slim in Six does is cause you to burn muscle, there's a reason it hurt your mom's joints. it's not good for you. my store won't even carry it anymore.
