I go to the fruit & vegie markets once a fortnight (as it is a bit far away to go more often), where you can buy all produce fresh from the sellers - items are always much cheaper. We generally have 9 of us getting stuff so make a good trip in and save at least half of what we would have spent if we bought from the shops.

I like it when I have a coupon for something, plus it's on sale.. plus there's a rebate.

My last frugal deal was shirts for myself at the thrift store. They had 80% off red tags and a little special for halloween where you pick a tag out of a bowl for an additional discount. I pulled an additional 25%, so some of my red tagged shirts were free. Made a killing and was a happy gal.

Love the thrift store.

Got 4 bucks off on cat food because it was a store special, and found a $3 off coupon on the shelf beside it, left by some nice person. So I got my cat food for $7 less than usual. :)

I went to MAC yesterday and got 2 pressed powders for 10 dollars because the mirrors were missing.

Today my coffee was free because I fell out of my top. It was a peep show for the guy and I got a free coffee buzz.

The company who ships our ink was overstocked so I offered to by them for half price. SCore.

Probably the $5 jeans I got at a thrift store. That's like getting them for 85% off.

Hmm, the jeans I got for 8 bucks that were originally 40 bucks. Oh, and the red tee shirt I got at the thrift shop for 25 cents, and the book of work by Edgar Allen Poe for 10 cents.

Went to Asda and bought all the beer in for christmas on special offer - 48 tins for £20, and a few other things like bread and fruit. It came to £56 and I had £25 in money off coupons!!
One for £4 was luncheon vouchers I got in payment for doing an online market research questionaire, £6 was for Tesco but Asda take them just to thwart Tesco, and £15 was Asda's own incentives. I win!

Later on I went to Tesco and noticed they'd reduced ladies T shirt vests to £1 each, so bought 2.

Then we went to Broadstairs and watched a free firework spectacular. We sat on the beach and the view was divine. A lovely evening out.

Another Asda attack late last night - 4 punnets of strawberries at 10p each, 3 punnets of mixed exotic fruits- 10p each, 4 bags of fresh ready shelled peas- 10p each. 2 Bags of prepared salad leaves-10p each. 8 sharon fruit for 20p. Over £20 the lot if paying the usual price, but I paid £1.50. Oh I am eating so healthily today! The secret is watching for the boy reaching for the reduced label machine from where they hide it underneath the cut flowers.

Last week,my supermarket had 10 lbs of potatoes for $1.89!!!!! I had to read the sign twice, and then asked the produce manager if it was correct. That's a lot of taters for 2 people, but we ate 'em up!

These small items look really good. However, buying several small items addsup. Also, after continuing this for a while one will have the small items clutter at home.

Glad you are learning. Do return the skirt at the earliest. See if they will take back the ring also.

In the future when tempted, spot problems and unwanted items waayyyy in advance and avoid them. To be sincere, I still lag in this. However, am much better than before.

This is my latest frugal deal. I can call it a Frugal Bingo !!!! Reason being that I got Tofu at 79 cents a pack. This includes silken tofu also. I bought 14 of these. Used one already and frooze 12 others. Apart from being frugal, increased tofu sales also supports the Vegan cause.

I bought an adorable skirt for 85 cents!! It was origionally 44.00, marked down to 10.77. I then had a coupon I got in the paper for 10.00 off a minimum 10.00 purchase at JC Penny's. SO I got this adorable black A-Line Bisou Bisou skirt for less than a dollar, brand new!!! :vebo:

Sounds like a heck of a deal, Frenchie.

I've gotten lots of hand-me-downs recently. I love getting free clothes when they fit and look good and I like them.

I get great deals on canned beans and tomatoes from the grocery stores near me. I've gotten 4 cans of black beans for $1, and 8 cans of tomato sauce for $1.

I've found the wonders of Costco (Sam's Club). Lately I've been saving a fortune on cat litter by buing it there. I can get 40lbs of SuperScoop for $7.99!!
