I seem to rationalize ANY sale so that it seems frugal in my head, but it just ain't so!

A new 2nd hand computer desk. It's a good one too, solid wood not laminate, and it was only $10 from Vinnies. I also scored a corner bookshelf (free) and good ladder (free), a whole bunch of good quality paints and oil pastels (free) and a tacky but cool Chinese Diety candlestick holder, also free, when my next door neighbours moved out. I've had a good frugal week!

I also got a whole bunch of soy milks yesterday. They were half price and I drink a fair bit.

Swim goggles only $4.00.
Free swim cap. I'd left my cap at the gym and they gave me a new one for some reason as none were in lost and found.

I brought veggie dogs & buns to work so I don't have to waste money on Tim Horton's bagels & jam everyday. :)
I negotiated a sliding scale fee w/ the homeopath I am seeing on Friday, from $85 to $60. Homeopathy is frugal compared to conventional remedies anyway, the appointment fee includes your remedy.

I hit the grocery outlet this afternoon and got some awesome deals. They had cases of S'mores flavor Luna bars for $3.50 each, half gallons of low fat Soy Dream soymilk for $1.49, quarts of organic vegetable broth for $1.29 and Gardenburger meals for $1.99. I spent just under $40 and got about $90 worth of groceries. Oh yeah!

Most frugalist thing ever: I basiclly firnished my apartment for almost free! :) Got all my dishes/silverware/pots/pans for free as hand me downs(the pots and pans are from the 70's! lol. I'm the third person to own them, but hey, they're free). The couch was an old ugly hand me down(orange, eek), but with some glue and a new couch cover, works fine. The tv stand I got for like $10 at a huge sale at Petco, it's supposed to be a fish tank stand lol, but works fine for the tv. Living room table is a big plastic storage holder.

A very high quality London Fog black jacket which ties at the waist and goes to the knees was my last frugal buy. I love the fabric. :smitten: At the outlet store it was $180.00. However, it was 70% off so I paid $58.00 or close to that, if I remember, without going to my purse and checking the receipt. Alfie, am I rationalizing? (I already have two winter coats, but it was a very good deal and it is wisest to alternate clothing so you don't wear them out too quickly. They will last longer that way. And we all need a change of clothes now and then.) ......
On a related note, one of the ladies here pointed out overstock.com. That really looks like a good resourse for high quality clothing at greatly reduced prices.
prairie_girl, I wish I could find a vegan cookbook for $3.97. The library only helps so much with resource books such as cookbooks.
WonderRandy, when you come back tell me how you can buy shoes online. It just seems I need to try them on to pick the best fit. Clothing I could do, but shoes?

I saw a gingham duvet cover and pillow cases set in a sale for £3.50 in Tesco. At the checkout they charged me £7. I pointed this out and they gave me a £7 refund:

I got ten Odwalla power bars for 10 dollars. They don't have any milk products in them. I think they are local to the NW? Seems some are down on power bars around here, but try to stop me! :naughty:
