This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.


Ingredients:

1/2 cup soy milk
3 Tbsp. unbleached flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
4 slices whole-wheat or sourdough bread
Fresh fruit, fruit preserves, or maple syrup


Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
Whisk together the soy milk, flour, cinnamon, and vanilla. Dip the bread in the batter, turning it to coat both sides, then cook it until golden brown, in a nonstick skillet. Serve with fresh fruit, fruit preserves, or maple syrup.

I was wondering.. in the recipes that call for soy milk, can i use rice milk instead?

GH..I've not used this recipe, but another for French Toast. I think that rice milk would be fine. It's a little bit thinner that soymilk generally, so you might use just a smidge less.

I made regular French toast for my dh today. Tomorrow I plan to give this recipe a try for myself. Looks yummy! :)

I was wondering.. in the recipes that call for soy milk, can i use rice milk instead?

I made this tonight with rice milk and it was delicious! The soy milk quantities worked perfectly.

I would recommend having this with peanut butter.
