Errr. I'm not sure how to make that other sticky thing go away but I wanted to post about my long run.

16 miles in the pouring rain and you would think that I have never ran this distance before with the way I feel right now. I feel like I was beat up, sore back muscles and everything.

Ahhh. Isn't it a great feeling knowing that you worked hard? :D (in some strange way).

New hamster here - I joined my local gym last week and have been three times already.

Tonight I did the cardio/weights program designed for me by a trainer at the gym (he was very cute, and is a good motivation to keep going ;) )

I'm looking forward to exercising regularly again, I haven't done it in ages.

Hi Hamsters! Yesterday I ran a quick 3.5 with the hub. Today was basic training class (a free weight work out).

Captain, great run, sorry it was a tough one...I think that means your next one will be a breeze :D

Shadowlee, welcome to the Hamsters :hamster: Great to see you're enjoying your new gym!

Come on all you Hamsters! Let's Go!!! :vebo: :hamster: :vebo:

4 mile run today. I was in no way recovered from the 16. My legs felt like lead.

Welcome Shadowlee!

Slynny, it always seems to work that way with running doesn't it? I skipped the 14 miler two weeks ago so that may have had something to do with it too. You know how it is. :)

okay: sunday was an hour bike ride and then my bike was attacked by a produce bag which somehow (God only knows) got caught in my chain and pulled my derailer up over some spokes of my back wheel stopping me dead in my tracks. yes, i was okay but my bike was not. i then had to carry my bike three quarters of a mile down the street to the nearest bike shop. luckily they fixed it and it was all better by monday night but man, my arms are NOT. they still feel like lead.

yesterday: 3mi walk, 35min bike ride (to make sure my bike was back to its old self again), and 25min yoga.

today: 3mi walk and 80min yoga.

Another 4 mile run.
My left foot still feels smashed and my right hip hurts still. Time for new shoes me thinks. It feels like these ones are nearing retirement age.

Looking good roqeja.

Moonflower, I hope you feel better soon.

catswym, yikes! Take care of yourself. That sounds like a scarey fall!

I swam for 40 minutes tonight. I like swimming - it's like meditating and exercising at the same time.

My arms didn't like it though :( When I have fabulous strong arms, I'm going to be glad I went swimming, but at the moment I'm just thinking "ow".

Hi Hamsters,
Yesterday was cardio karate; I was supposed to run too but had too much going on. I did basic training this morning and I will run 4 miles sometime today.

Captain, great on the running! When is your marathon again? Dec.? I’ve got to start getting some distance going but my next big one isn’t till May. Lot’s of time to build it up.

catswym, sorry about your bike accident! Glad everything’s OK. Great Hamstering!

Moonflower, Sorry you’re sick  I know it’s frustrating but you’ll get back into the swing of things…just rest till you’re better.

roqeja

Shadowlee, great swim!

Go Hamsters!!! :vebo: :bobo: :vebo:

I went to the gym again today, for one hour. Mix of cardio and weights.

I really hate the stepper machine. It's agony. It feels good when I finish though.

The next four weeks are going to be hard for me because I'm playing in the orchestra for a musical, and will be out just about every night of the week, as well as going to work full time. Must keep dedicated!! :hamster:

Hi Hamsters!

Thur. Cardio Karate and a 3 mile run, yesterday I raked the yard…a great Oblique work out let me tell ya! Today is my day off and my eat treats day!!! I’ll be lazing around and eating…that’s about it. Tomorrow I’m planning a 7-8 mile run.

ND, that’s awesome!!! When is your marathon? Which one are you doing?

Captain, excellent! I should plan a trip to somewhere warm to do a marathon this winter:sunny: I’m not looking forward to the long cold months ahead…and the long runs on the treadmill….blah!! I ran on it for the first time since April this week…it was a long 4 miles.

Yay catswym! Great Hamstering!

roqeja, Great run!!!

christy, always excuses with you lately :p hehehe. I really do sympathize. Great workout!

Shadowlee, it gets tough to keep up an exercise plan when you have a lot of other stuff going on…I hope you’re able to fit Hamstering into your busy new schedule. Remember it will give you more energy to get you through everything else.

Go Hamsters!! :vebo: :nana: :bobo:

Today was a "Body Balance" class - it's a mix of yoga, pilates and tai chi. Mmmmm stretchy.

All stretched out and ready for my 6 nights in a row in the theatre! I'm planning to park my car further away from work so I can squeeze in two walks a day. Not the gym, but at least I'll be moving!
