This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.
Ingredients:
-----------------------------------------------------
Pizza sandwiches
1 package of soy cheese (my kids love vegan gourmet) mozzerella
1 doz whole wheat rolls split in half (may use all, may not)
6-7 oz of pizza sauce( I also add some nutritional yeast to the sauce for more nutrition)
1 package of light life smart dogs or similar..
Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
First crumble the smart dogs. This can be done in a food processor or by hand I would imagine. Then in a bowl add the pizza sauce and 1/2 of the cheese. Then spread this mixture generously on the bun halves. You can then top with remaining cheese or not( I just sprinkle mine with nutritional yeast). They are still good without more cheese. PUt them in a preheated 350-400 degree oven for 5-10 minutes watching to see when cheese is melted. Makes approximately 15-24 half sandwiches depending on how generous you are with the mixture.
