Vegan Better Than Sex Cake by Flower

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.


Ingredients:

Cake:

1 package vegan yellow cake mix
2/3 cup oil
4 egg substitutes
11 oz. can mandarin oranges

Frosting:

8 oz. Hip Whip
1 package vegan instant vanilla pudding
8 oz. can crushed pineapple


Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
Mix cake ingredients together. Do not drain the oranges (the juice needs to be in the cake or it turns out very dry). Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Mix pineapple with the dry pudding mix (do not drain any of the juice from the pineapple!). Fold in the Hip Whip. Put on cake when it's cool.

Only once in our four years of marriage have I told my husband that what I was eating was almost better than sex. Every summer, during the week of the Fourth of July my husband and I go to a small, privat Lake Erie, Ohio town. In the town there is a restaurant that sells homemeade donuts--They're still fried. It's about the only fried thing I still eat. At my earliest opportunity last summer, I rushed to the take out window. (I think the donuts are still only $.50 and the coffee, also good, $1; I spend $2-2.50 a day on breakfast there.) Not only was it yummy (I start craving them again about the last week of JUne), but I told my husband that it was almost better than our wedding night. He was mildly amused. He he.

Overall, though, in the past (almost) four years (our anniversary is June 23), I've never found anything that's better than sex.

I'm going to try this cake, though.
