Vggiegirl's Zippy Balsamic Dressing by vggiegirl

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.
Ingredients:

1/3 cup olive oil (or an oil substitute)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
3-4 fresh basil leaves (I use purple from the garden)
1 fresh sage leaf
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon dry parsley flakes
black pepper to taste
Instructions:

1. Throw in blender and blend til smooth.
Additional comments:

This was EXCELLENT on lettuce salad, as dressing for a cucumber salad, etc.
Oil substitute: 1T cornstarch dissolved in 1C water.
Bring to boil and simmer stirring constantly until the mixture clears up.
Store for up to one week.
