Slow-cooker barley oatmeal by Kirk Job-Sluder
Category: Breakfast

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.


Ingredients:
-----------------------------------------------------
1/2 cup steel cut oats
1/2 cup hulled (not pearled) barley
4 cups water
1/4 cup dried cranberries
(optional) 1/4 cup sweetener


Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
Grease or spray slow cooker container. Mix all ingredients together. Cook on low overnight.


Additional comments:
-----------------------------------------------------
I eat it with salt and margarine. Non-dairy milk or creamer is also good.

Lots of variations. This is sized for a small slow-cooker.
