would have liked to do cardio..
i did some other ab and butt stuff this morning too.
and sat in the sauna. :)
Hi Hamsters, I had a really great weekend up-north. The colors are almost at peak in northern WI and are really breath taking, and the weather couldn’t have been better. 3 mile hike, 17 mile bike ride, 6 mile run. Today I did the basic training class.
moonflower, sorry you’re so sore, all part of working out…it happens, it should feel better soon. Since I started my classes it seems like I feel a new pain everyday. My instructor likes to work different muscles harder on different days. The pain can also help you to modify your next workout…maybe take it a little easier next time…work your way up. A nice relaxing swim might help stretch and loosen up your muscles. Sounds like you have a great week planned! :)
catswym, way to Hamster!
christy, "slacker hiatus" what was up with that :whip: :D
veggies4life, welcome to the Hamsters! Great work!:hamster:
Funk, way to squeeze some Hamstering in! Dang! I forgot to count my crunches! Tomorrow for sure…I know I must be close.
Go Hamsters!!!

slynny - Eh, I got busy with stuff, then lacked motivation. I kept it to less than 2 weeks this time, at least, and my diet wasn't too terrible during. It seems my appetite lessened (or is lessening), which is strange for me in the fall. Usually that happens in the summer as it starts to get hot. Luckily this weather makes me want to get outside and walk Filo, too. He's becoming quite rotund, and lagged behind me last time. I'll have to :whip: for both of us.
By the way, that's a beautiful picture of the tree you posted in the photo album.

Eh. I can't stay away from this board no matter how much I try. I'm too intrested in how all the ironman stuff if going to go in the ironman thread. :D
10 mile run yesterday, today will be 8-11 miles on the stationary bike.
Slynny, I'm glad your feeling better. It looks like you are back in kick ass mode. :)
Nice Funk! Any more climbing competitions in the near future?
Christy, welcome back from your exercise break! :hi:
Veggie4life, what you did is just fine! Some exercise is better than no exercise. Walking is great for you.
Nice workout catswym.
christy, Hehehe...we all go through this...good for you keeping it short! Ha, my appetite used to change depending on the weather...I could count on packing on a few pounds over the winter. Now my appetite seems to go along with my workouts more so than the weather. Well, except for the holidays  :D
Thanks about the pic. It's so pretty here, especially up-north. I'll post more pics when I get around to downloading them.
Hey Captain! Great run! So, have we sucked you into the iron man then? WooHoo!

Hehe. I guess it's hard to just stop at the marathon isn't it?

Yesterday was 40 min rollerblading.
Today was 35 min biking, 30 min weights, and I also ran to and from the gym- maybe a mile round trip.
I don't foresee a lot of hamstering this week. I have 3 exams on Thursday!
Which brings me to the question of why I am on VB right now instead of studying...

treadmill - 3 miles, 3.5/4 mph with speed/incline intervals - 47:20 min
Haven't posted in a while...Basic hamster recipe for the past few days has been :
Walking 1-2 hours
Pushups and crunches
Karate and muay thai, depending on the day
Yesterday I ended up walking for almost 3 hours in total. 21490 steps over the day.
I need to start doing something *other* than walking.
Today was BJJ Practice, although I do feel a little guilty because I left after the first practice, and I felt I didn't get enough of a workout or push myself as hard as I should. I really wanted to eat indian food, and they close at 9:30.
Tommorow I will go to the gym and make up for it (abs, back, triceps, inner thigh machine thing, and run 2 to 3 miles on the treadmill).

yesterday was 3mi walk and 80min yoga.
today 3mi walk, crunches and some arm work.
Yesterday, cardio class and a 3 mile run, today basic training.
Hehe. I guess it's hard to just stop at the marathon isn't it?
Funny that isn’t it. I thought I would be content to finish one and thought I would be relieved not to have to work so hard anymore. Instead I want to work harder…push myself further. Go figure.
Good luck with your exams ND! Hope you can squeeze in a little workout.
Funk
christy, looks like you’re back in the swing.
Way to go Gnarly, how’s that Achilles?
cyk, Hehehe, I think a killer craving for Indian would justify quitting early…you deserve it! Great work.
catswym, cute avatar! Way to Hamster!

That is defintly true Slynny. Whenever I am training for less than a marathon I feel like I am slacking, therefore I am always looking towards more.
6 mile run yesterday. I have a run planned for tonight too.
