Sweet Bread by Crystal
Category: Raw Foods

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan/raw diet.


Ingredients:

2 c flax seeds (grind up 1 c, leave 1 c whole)
1 lg. orange juiced
10 prunes
10 dates
1/2 c oil
1 T. cinnamon
3 1/2 c water
1/2 lemon juiced
1/2 vanilla bean or vanilla extract
1/2 t salt


Instructions:

Blend 1 c flax and other ingredients until paste-like then pour into a bowl and roll in remaining flax. Dehydrate 6-8 hours or until done. score into squares about 1/2 from beginning after top is dry and flip.


Additional comments:
-----------------------------------------------------
sprinkle with sesame seeds, hemp, coconut or spread almond butter and homemade fruit spread.

This bread is Rawsome! I made it and took it to work my SAD co-worker tried it and loved it.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I don't know a lot about raw foodism-- how do you dehydrate the ingredients?

Also, could another grain be substituted for the flaxseeds?

it's sweet and it's bread. I think you are thinking of sweet meat.
