I have dark circle things under my eyes, I was wondering if this could be caused by bad nutrition? I don't like taking my vegetarian vitamins because they are big so I have just been eating vegetarian and probably not healthy either. (a lot of junk food) I weigh about 102 pounds, I'm 5'5" and I'm 16 years old. Could the dark circles be caused by my bad nutrition or what, I can't find anything about it anywhere else so i decided to post a thread. Please if you know anything about this help! :help:

I have dark circles under my eyes all the time too. Its genetics. Kinda sucks, cause they never go away and I can't cover them up and people ask me if I'm tired all the time.

Same here.
If you aren't eating well, though, who knows? Maybe that could cause them too. I'm not sure.

They can also be caused/aggravated by food allergies/intolerances.

102 pounds seems underweight for your height of 5'5". Maybe you're not eating enough food. Or enough dietary fat...fat is good for the skin. I think a good nutrition book is the way to go for you. Try "Being Vegetarian for Dummies" it was my favorite.

I'm not very good at taking my multivitamin either. For me it's remembering to take it, so I've been leaving the bottle at my computer desk--so far it's working because I see it everyday. :) It's a little bit of insurance because even though I eat healthy most of the time, I still miss nutrients. If it seems to big to swallow, try cutting it in half and then taking it that way.
Beforewisdom gave you a good website. Here's some others: http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=22051&page=1&pp=20

Yeah, it's a lot of reading, but it's important! It may seem daunting at first, but reducing the amount of junk food in your diet and adding veggies, fruits, legumes, and whole grains will make you feel a lot better!

You do seem a bit underweight, but that may just be due to your age. If you are restricting what you eat, undernourishment could be a cause of the rings. If not, have you always had rings under your eyes? I have forever had 'racoon eyes'. For me, its genetic so I'm stuck with em.
