easiest cake ever by Melissa

This recipe is suitable for a: vegetarian/vegan diet.


Ingredients:

1 box duncan hines devils food cake
10 oz root beer or cola


Instructions:
-----------------------------------------------------
mix the two together until smooth and bake for an hour.... thats it

its cheap, easy and vegan... like me!! hehehe

I just made this, and it's the same as just leaving the eggs out fo the recipe- the cake is yummy but crumbles.

Duncan Hines cakes always crumble - with or without eggs/rootbeer. :)

Just for the record, this is a PETA originated recipe :D

I have tried this recipe before. I didn't like using cola as the chocolate cake tasted like chocolate cola to me. Icky. However, I found using a clear mild soda ... and only 2/3s of the can was great for a vanilla cupcake. Using paper liners helps contain the crumbly mess.

I would tend to think Ener-G egg replacer will keep it from crumbling. At least that is the cake with the organic knock off brand of Duncan Hines.

This recipe sounds interesting. The cake mix is it pound cake, yellow cake, or chocolate cake mix?
