Im a new veggy and wanna no if anyone felt tired when they first become one??? i eat enough food, drink enough water and eat fruit and veg. Whats up with me?? :mad:
This is annoying me coz i cant keep up with my skool work..im so tired!!

it might be an issue of iron- as in, are you getting enough?

try eating lentils, chickpeas, and cream of wheat.

has anyone eaten, meat by accident?? ive just done it..my crisps had an EXTRACT OF MEAT!!! :down:

Yep, happened to me once when i had meat broth in my soup, which wasn't explained to me until after I ate it. It sucked, i felt sick too, but I got over it. It's not like I ate it on purpose. Don't worry, you'll get over it. :yes:

I'm always tired when I don't get enough sleep... then people (espeically my mom) tend to blame it on me being vegetarian.

cream of wheat has iron in it?

I would blame it on the big two: IRON and PROTEIN

iron can be obtained by an iron fortified cereal (I like raisin bran but check the labels I am sure you can find one you like) and eat more beans like kidney beans, chickpeas, baked beans. Also try eating leafy greens, seeds, and whole wheat bread. Eat something with vit C at the same time and you will boost the absorbtion of the iron a lot!

for protein eat more beans, veggie burgers, nuts, whole grains, tofu, soy milk, and dairy and eggs if you eat them. cottage cheese and yogurt are really hi in protein just get the low or non fat versions. As tempting as it might be to be a "pastaterian" you will only feel ill in the long run. So go make yourself a bowl of rice and beans and wash it all down with a glass of OJ.

i personally felt more energized my first week i was veg. but then again i was pretty much raw that week.. hmm good luck though. jus tmake sure u get enough vitamins and minerals and such
