Night klaus
I took out the garbage in the dark, I kept thinking the boogie man was going to come out and get me.

misq, don't be silly...the boogie man doesn't exist. This (http://sparta.rice.edu/~kimw/Gossamer-large.gif) is the one you really have to look out for!

I really want some granola, should I make it or not, I'm lazy, but yet, I love granola so much :lick:

Mmm...granola. Yes, make the granola - you know it will be worth it! :hungry:

Realistically speaking, more than the boogie man, I should probably be watching out for my neighbors, atleast a few of whom are always drugged up, and several of which have the police at their house multiple times a month. My street got more than our share of creepy people

I guess I'll go make the granola, but I'm not sure if we have enough stuff to make it, I'll have to go check :chef:
Anyone know a good subsitute for honey, I usually use it in granola but I barely have any left

Molasses can be a good substitute for honey, but it'll (obviously) give it a more molasses-y taste if it's a main ingredient. Or you could use maple syrup or corn syrup or brown rice syrup. I don't think any of these actually taste much like honey, but they're still liquidy sweeteners. Who knows, maybe you'll end up liking maple syrup-flavored granola better!

Or you could water down the honey until you have enough ;)
(we really need a non-suggestive winking smiley)

I can't decide if I have enough stuff to make it. I've got (the things that seem okay to put in): Oats, Peanuts, Wheat Germ, WW flour, Chex? (usually I use shredded wheat but I have none), and flax seeds (both ground and not). I'm using maple syrup in place of honey, the recipe says use either.
It's one of those, throw in anyhting you want recipes, any good ideas? I have no dried fruit or other nuts

What the heck, I'll go make it with what I've got.

Okay, now I'm procrastinating.
I have no real maple syrup so I'll be forced to use "pancake syrup". This should be interesting, I think maybe I'll make half the recipe.

Daryl Mandryk just said I had strong work!! (For those not in the know, he's a fantastic artist with EA Games). This has made my week! I'll stay on cloud 9 for a while on this one :D

I'm having a totally strange introspective/contemplative evening. Not negative per se, but strange nonetheless.

I'm freaking out over jazz band
PROS of getting in:
I will feel all smart and accomplished
I like jazz
The band teachers will like me
I'll improve as a saxophone player
My private teacher will be thrilled with me
CONS of getting in:
Two 3-hour practices a week
A ton of work
A lot of stress
The innability to miss practice or performances for ANY reason (You can have a 104 fever and you still have to go, there is nothing that is allowed to have a higher priority than band)
But I have to try out, or I'm dead. But I really don't want to

I just had a really great conversation with one of my friends who is now going to private school who I don't really see very often anymore. We talked for an hour, it was fun. I forgot how much I missed her.

misq, I don't like your avatar. It's so... grey... and boring. it reminds me of my dad's computer wallpapers (always the slate grey one that came with windows while my sisters and I wanted puppies or fish or something)
I keep looking closer and trying to figure out whether there's something I'm just not seeing about it, but I can't find anything. I suggest you change it to this: http://www.avatarity.com/avatar.php?aid=4991
