Cute... but wearing shirts like that in public is kind of an "in your face" thing... be prepared to be verbally attacked or challenged. You would be throwing up your own attack through the shirt and it will get responses for which you may not want to hear.

For someone who's so proud of how long she's been a vegan, you seem pretty timid about it, RWF.

I love em!!! really well done artwork, and a humorous approach! I don't think it's too "in your face" at all...

I wouldn't be afraid to wear it in public, because I'm proud to be a vegetarian. Plus if they see maybe they will educate themselves on the subject, or maybe you'll have the opportunity to give them a lecture :)

Just today I had a guy say something about the bumper sticker on my car. It says "Wear your own skin". He said "I don't mean anything, but don't we kind-of have to. You know leather. We need it for shoes." I almost laughed. I said shoes don't have to be made at of leather; none of mine are. A lot of people are ignorant. They think we have to use leather, have to eat meat, etc. They need to be educated.

It's not like the shirts say **** you omni b***ards... I hope you die! Those shirts pictured are cute and have a nice message. Why if someone is wearing those shirts...should it be seen as "in your face?" Why is it the wearers fault, so to speak? Why is it so much worse to wear a cute shirt with a simple clear message than it is to be a rude, obnoxious person that "attacks" the shirt wearer? I don't get it... OH that's right...people wear certain things... they are asking for it...

I like the shirts...they are adorable. I love cartoons anyways :)

i think the shirt that says "beef. it's what's rotting in your colon." is a tad more confrontational than those shirts posted above. and to me, a tad bit funnier!

I personaly like the shirt I bought from PETA, the one with the pig on it that says NO! I DONT HAVE ANY SPARE RIBS! I have had people look at me funny and I have had people say Love the shirt, and I have had conversations with Omni's about veganism when wearing this shirt.
I do like the make love not burgers one, I think I may have to buy that one

I'm not a vegan, never will be. I've been a vegetarian though for quite a while. It's not about being timid it's about not offending people and opening myself up for attacks. Ever look around the boards and see how many vegetarians cry about the things that meat eaters say to them? You wear a shirt like that you invite the negative attention.

That's very intelligent.

Pardon, I forgot the *. I meant to type veg*n as I wasn't sure where you stood.

I don't think that wearing a t-shirt opens one up for attacks. No-one has ever attacked me for a t-shirt, and if they did, I would be proud to stand up for my beliefs. And I would also see the attacker as the one at fault. But then, I believe that about rapists, too. Nobody deserves to be attacked, verbally or physically, based on what they are wearing.

I agree! Hehe. I think its very cute. Its not too 'in your face' either. It voices an opinion, but in a non-threatening way. I think clothing that shares harsh pro-vegism/anti-omni words is far more inviting to insensitive comments than those linked.

Edit - I checked out the other cartoon shirts. Those are great! The hamburger helper, tofu decoys, and McJustice are the best. They even have them in cute babydoll styles. Oooo. Maybe I want a shirt

I wear veg shirts all the time. When people comment on them, I hand over a copy of Why Vegan. I wear ones promoting the positive side of being veg and not the negatives of being omni. I've never had it create a problem. It tends to bring potential veg*ns out of the wood work.
Anyway, those shirts are really cute. :) I like the "make love, not nuggets" one.

Those shirts are awesome!! I really like the message and the art work...not too in your face at all. I have a purse/bag thing with a cartoon baby chick flipping the bird (no pun) with "peep this" under it...and if anything that would be in your face ^^;

I wish they had posters..that would be cool for my dorm.

I don't know about that. I proudly carry my Free Palestine bag (http://www.cafepress.com/afreepalestine.5496155) with me everywhere, which you think would cause lots of confrontations. It doesn't. The only time someone ever sort-of confronted was me was a guy in a suit who gave me a nod of approval, sort of, after he saw the bag.

Very cute. I might have to get myself a couple of shirts. As for someone getting in my face, if I was wearing one of the anti-fur shirts, I would almost hope that someone WOULD get in my face. I can't think many things that are more vile than wearing fur.

speaking of vegan shirts
Has anyone seen a "Vegan: Old Indian word for bad hunter" shirt? I have always liked that saying, even though i know some veg*n find it offensive.
