Does anyone know if the Vegetarian formula of GNC's Ultra Mega multivitamin is vegan?
I called GNC but the woman I spoke to was not helpful at all and didn't know what vegan was.
Has anyone had a definitive answer on these?
Thanks!

Well I called again and got a very helpful man that confirmed that in the vegetarian version - the b12 is synthetic and the vitamin d is d2 and is vegan.

I wrote the page and put it up. I did not author the content of the links
All of the links point to articles by vegan medical doctors or vegan registered dieticians with the exception of the articles on the evils of refined carbs and trans fats

It's MY long-term understanding that GNC Ultra Mega 158351 IS svegan.
I've called the GNC company and spoken with the supervising formulary chemist. If they lied (and it sounded to me as if they were making every precaution to have ONE vegan line, and this is it!), it didn't show.
It's ALSO my understanding that, in the USA, this is the LEAST expensive high quality multivitamin available.
I believe that EVERY vegan everywhere in the USA should be discussing GNC Ultra Mega 158351 as an option, particularly in presenting veganism as a live option that is affordable, with a great and inexpensive and widely-available multiple vitamin as a backup for newbies who may not really know what they're doing.
