Just want to mention Method (www.methodhome.com) cleaning products. They're at Target and some other stores. Their website says they are not tested on animals, raw material suppliers don't test on animals, and they're biodegradable. Plus they look cool. And now they have laundry detergent too. I've tried the soap and some cleaners and think they're nifty.
So I recommend them to everyone.

hey guys. i own lots of method products, and though i had inquired about animal ingredients before, i saw that they recently launched a line of laundry products and was curious about whether these products were vegan as well. i emailed and here is the response:
Hello there, Melissa, thanks so much for taking the time to write to us!
Let me first just tell you how exciting it is to hear that you are using and
loving our products! In response to your question regarding animal
ingredients, all of our products are animal-free except for one new addition
to our laundry care line: our dryer sheets. The first batch of dryer sheets
that were manufactured contains tallow, which is a beef derivative. Our
fabric softener, on the other hand, is made with canola oil instead. The
plan is to get the formula just right to where we can roll out the next
round of dryer sheets using a canola base, as well.
Hope that information is helpful! If you have any other questions
whatsoever, please feel free to call or email me directly anytime. Take
care and have a beautiful rest of the week!

I was about to start a new thread on Method products, but decided to recycle this one ;)
I have noticed the availability of Method products has been ever increasing in my area. I've used the spray cleaner for awhile now, but have recently branched out to include their pump hand soap and clothes detergent. Even my corner grocer is carrying some of their products :D
Has everyone else still been hearing good things about them?

Actually I was kind of disappointed in the dish soap. It didn't lather very well, which caused me to use it up faster than usual.

I didn't like the dishwasher detergent gel packs. They got nothing clean. I'm not writing them off though.

i bought some of the dishwasher cubes, and they were awful. i was having to run my dishes through the dishwasher two or three times and they still never really ended up clean, especially the silverware.

In Canada, use Nature's Choice. It's quite good :)

Do they not have Target in Canada? Oh no. It is a great store
I guess I shouldn't buy the dishwasher cubes, not that I have noticed them yet anyway. I do love that spray cleaner. I've even converted my mom to using it ;) ... The hand pump soap is fine. The clothes detergent is something I am still experimenting with. It is very concentrated, and I use less than they suggest ... but my clothes still smell extra fragrant. I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. It just makes me feel like I used too much.

i liked the laundry detergent for the first few washes but not anymore. not only does it smell too strong for me, but once it is more than halfway gone the "self-measuring cap" gets really irritating. it is probably just my own incompetence with new-fangled gadgets but i keep getting the stuff all over my laundry room when i wash clothes. i can't wait to use it up and buy 7th generation again.

oh yeah I heard about them on a PeTA website.. I think they're too expensive for me though.. I was really glad to find some affordable ones at Trader Joe's instead (I didn't notice they had more than just soaps and face wash). I like the packaging of the Method brand products though...
