I've only found a Norwegian article about this, so this is my translation.
Hours after being checked in at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, the cat made its way to the cockpit on flight 2905 from Brussels to Vienna.
- The cat was checked in on Gardermoen by its owner, but I can not give you the passenger's name. What I can tell you, is that the passenger had spent the Sunday in Oslo and that the person was flying from Gardermoen to Vienna via Brussels, says Gert Sciot of SN Brussels Airlines to VG Nett.
He explains that the «terror»-cat boarded the plane in a specially designed travel bag for animals weighing less than 5kg.
Witnesses told reporters that the cat did not leave the bag during the flight to Brussels, where the passenger transfered.
They were going to Vienna on flight 2905 at 12.48. The plane hadn't been in air for more than 20 minutes when the cat mysteriously escaped from the bag.
- We still don't know how it was able to escape from the bag, says Sciot.
When the passenger traveling with the cat realized that it had escaped, it was to late. The cat was strolling freely around the cabin before it made its way to the cockpit when the pilots were served lunch. From there on, things went wrong.
"At this point the cat was agitated and nervous", says the report. It ended with the cat attacking one of the pilots, scratching his arm. Due to security concerns, the pilot chose to return to Brussels for an emergency landing, AP reports.
The passengers were later put on another flight.
The airline says that the passengers' security never was threatened, but they will review their routines on animals onboard.
